We aim to provide you with the best teaching and learning environment, giving you the facilities, equipment and support you need to succeed. We’re continuously investing in spaces and resources to accommodate our growing number of postgraduate students.
Postgraduate study areas
You’ll have full use of all the facilities and equipment on our campuses. There’s a choice of study environments to suit your needs including study lounges and IT facilities.
We have over 100 designated study areas for postgraduate taught and research students available in Boots Library on the City Campus and New Hall Block on Clifton Campus.
Postgraduate Centre
Our Postgraduate Centre is a new space on City Campus designed specifically for the use of postgraduate students.
Built with collaboration and social interaction in mind, you can make use of study spaces, bookable meeting rooms, flexible classrooms and a tiered lecture theatre. You can also access employability services, student support, research centres and a vibrant café.
Academic Schools specialist facilities
Our Academic Schools provide a range of state-of-the-art facilities and industry-standard equipment to ensure you're learning the latest techniques and skills.
In addition, there are facilities and rooms reserved exclusively for postgraduate and research students, which include design studios, laboratories, and study spaces.
The university has great facilities that can easily be accessed. I really benefit from the 24-hour loan laptop, and the Bloomberg Terminal in the Business Lab is just phenomenal.

Commuting students
Many of our postgraduate students commute to our campuses. NTU offers support, services and facilities to suit you, whatever your personal circumstances.
From places to eat and drink, student kitchens, communal areas and spaces to meet friends, events and activities, to lockers to store your equipment and 24-hour study spaces - we understand your need to have flexibility and choice in how you study and socialise.
Postgraduate and mature student accommodation
Many of our residences have flats that are suitable for postgraduate or mature students, away from the bustle of undergraduate living.
We have university shared houses on campus and studios available in Gill Street North (City Campus) and New Hall (Clifton Campus). There are also plenty of private accommodation options throughout Nottingham, from student apartments to shared houses.
